What you learn in 1.5 hours
- The right riding posture. How to sit, where to put your hands and feet, where to look – everything starts here.
- Clutch and throttle. Pulling away and stopping smoothly without stalling the engine.
- Braking. Front and rear brake: when and how to use them so the bike stops straight.
- Balance and slow riding. What looks hardest to a beginner becomes familiar on the very first day.
- Turns and where you look. The bike goes where your eyes go – we practice that between the cones.
- The answer to “is this for me?” After 1.5 hours you have your own answer, and I tell you honestly what I saw.
How it works
- 1. Book and pay the invoice
Fill in the form: name, email and phone. The invoice arrives in your inbox right away. Once the payment arrives, I contact you and offer a time.
- 2. We meet at the training ground
You get the school’s helmet, jacket, gloves, protectors and boots. We talk through what we will do and look over the bike together.
- 3. 1.5 hours in the saddle
One exercise at a time, at your pace: posture, clutch and throttle, braking, slow riding, turns. I am next to you the whole time.
- 4. We talk about what comes next
If you want a license, I tell you honestly which category and package suit you. If not, you have had 1.5 hours in the saddle and a clear answer.

Who it is for
- You are thinking about a motorcycle license but have never sat in the saddle.
- You hold a category B license and are looking at A1 or A2, but want to feel first whether a motorcycle suits you at all.
- Motorcycles scare you a little and you want your first time to be calm: on a closed training ground, on a bike that suits you, with the instructor next to you.
- You are looking for a gift for someone who has talked about motorcycles for years – give them the Motorcycle ABCs with a 149 € gift card.
If you decide to learn further
After the Motorcycle ABCs you know whether you want to continue. If yes, we choose the category together: A1 from 16, A2 from 18, A from 24; with a category B license the upgrade course or A1 without exams fits. “Into the Saddle” is a separate course and is not deducted from the price of a full course, but everything you learn here counts when you go on: a motorcycle is a dangerous thing, and extra practice in handling it never hurt anyone.
- Category A1 – 890 €
- Category A2 – 890 €
- Category A – 840 €
- A1 on the basis of category B – 740 €

Useful to know
Do I need a license?
No. Everything takes place on a training ground closed to traffic, so no license is required. You only need to be 15.5 or over; under 18 you need a parent’s consent.
Do I need a medical certificate?
Not for the Motorcycle ABCs. You need a medical certificate when you start a license course – then I tell you where to get one quickly.
I have never ridden a motorcycle. Can I really learn anything in 1.5 hours?
That is exactly what the Motorcycle ABCs are for. We start with how to sit on the bike and go step by step: pulling away, stopping, braking, slow riding and turns. At your pace, no rush.
What if I am scared?
Fear the first time is normal – that is why I say it doesn’t bite. The training ground is closed to traffic, we start on a bike that suits you and I am next to you the whole time. We only do what you are ready for.
What should I wear?
I provide the helmet, jacket, gloves, protectors and boots. You bring long pants (jeans are fine) and clothes for the weather.
Is the 149 € deducted from the course price later?
No. “Into the Saddle” is a separate course and cannot be deducted from a full course afterwards. But everything you learn here counts when you go on to the full course: a motorcycle is a dangerous thing, and extra practice in handling it never hurt anyone.
When does it take place?
The riding season starts in early April, once the weather is stable, and lasts until the fall. Once you have paid, I contact you and offer a time. You can book or give it as a gift card right now.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. Order a gift card worth 149 € – that is the Motorcycle ABCs. The card is valid for 18 months, so the recipient has time to pick a good day.
Does the instructor ride a motorcycle himself?
Yes, that is the credo of the Kindel Lenks motorcycle school: riding is taught by a rider. I ride every day in season and now and then in winter. In traffic, in 95% of lessons I follow you on a motorcycle too, not in a car, and talk to you through earphones. On the training ground, too, I don’t hesitate to get in the saddle myself. That way I see your line and posture and feel the same road as you do. In many schools the instructor follows the student in a car. When choosing a school, find out when your future instructor last rode a motorcycle: chances are, the answer will surprise you.
