Two routes to category A2
Initial training – you do not have a license yet
You complete 24 hours of theory in Liikluslab e-learning, pass the theory exam at the Transport Administration and ride 12 lessons. The course takes at least 4 weeks. Initial training also requires a first-aid course certificate. Price 890 €.
Upgrade course – you hold a category B license
10 hours of theory and 10 riding lessons. Price 840 €.
Who it is for
Power up to 35 kW. A serious step towards powerful bikes. A2 is a good choice if you are 18–23 and want to ride now: the category A exam is open only from the age of 24. Once you have held the A2 license for two years, you get category A already at 20 with the driving test alone – no theory exam and no new course (Traffic Act § 100 and § 103).

How the training works
Start training today – online theory and riding lessons on a flexible schedule!
- 1. Theory Course
Study theory online — even from your couch, progressing at your own pace on the Liikluslab platform. If you start today and stay motivated, you can get your license this summer: the entire course and exams can be finished in just a few weeks.
- 2. Theory Exam
Pass the theory exam at the Transport Administration.
- 3. The Magic Moment ⚡️
As soon as the theory exam is passed and the first lessons on the training ground are completed, we will pick an exam date together. Everyone is different, and it's impossible to 100% guarantee the pace at which you will master all the required skills.
- 4. Final Practice
Complete your remaining riding hours right before the exam.
- 5. State Driving Test
Pass the exam at your peak form while your skills are fresh.
💡 Why don't we start riding lessons before the theory is done?
The answer is simple: I want to be honest with you. The goal for many driving schools is simply to make money, so they let students start riding right away when enthusiasm is high. The student finishes their riding hours quickly, but then the theory drags on for months.
What is the result? By the time the theory is finally passed, riding skills are forgotten, the feel for the bike is lost, and you are forced to buy expensive additional lessons. For category A, this is not cheap at all.
I do things differently and honestly:
1. You learn the theory.
2. We go through intensive practice.
3. You go straight to the exam.
This way, you won't need any extra lessons, and you will save a significant amount of money. For me, your satisfaction and safety on the road are the most important things. A happy student's recommendation is what brings me my next student.

Motorcycle and gear
Riding lessons and the state exam take place on the school's motorcycles: category A on a Kawasaki Z650 (50 kW, a lowered seat is available for shorter riders), category A2 on a Honda NC700 (35 kW, a comfortable bike that suits adult learners too) and category A1 on a Benelli BN 125 (8 kW, a friendly bike for beginners). The Transport Administration has no motorcycles of its own; you take the exam on the school's bike. All the gear you need – helmet, jacket, armor, gloves, boots and a high-visibility vest – is provided by the school when needed, both for lessons and for the exam; in the first lesson you get a balaclava as a gift. I also advise you on choosing your own gear and your first motorcycle.
Guaranteed State Exam Dates
One of the main sources of stress for a beginner is the months-long wait for the state exam, causing skills to fade. So you can focus entirely on learning and take your exam at peak form, I have pre-booked state exam dates for my students.

Useful to know
Can I get category A later after A2?
Yes. If you have held the A2 license for at least two years, you get category A already at 20, otherwise at 24: only the Transport Administration driving test, no theory exam and no compulsory course. To get to know a more powerful bike and refresh your skills, you can take extra riding lessons with me at the list price.
Does the instructor ride a motorcycle himself?
Yes, that is the credo of the Kindel Lenks motorcycle school: riding is taught by a rider. I ride every day in season and now and then in winter. In traffic, in 95% of lessons I follow you on a motorcycle too, not in a car, and talk to you through earphones. On the training ground, too, I don’t hesitate to get in the saddle myself. That way I see your line and posture and feel the same road as you do. In many schools the instructor follows the student in a car. When choosing a school, find out when your future instructor last rode a motorcycle: chances are, the answer will surprise you.
Do I have to take a first-aid course in initial training?
Yes, initial training requires a first-aid course certificate. If you already have one, present it; if not, you can take the 16-hour course wherever suits you or at the driving school Kindel Rool for 50 €. The upgrade course (B license held) does not need it.
How long does the category A2 course take?
Initial training (24 hours of theory + 12 riding lessons) takes at least 4 weeks – that is the minimum length of initial training. In the upgrade course for B-license holders, once the theory is done, it takes 2–3 weeks from the start of the course to the state exam.
Can I study theory entirely online?
Yes! I use Liikluslab. You can study anywhere, anytime – even on your phone.
Do I need to buy my own helmet and jacket right away?
No, all protective gear is included in the course. I’ll also help you choose your own gear later so you buy the right stuff.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, you can pay in parts. I can also issue invoices to companies.
